The Gerber Gator product line was first introduced in 1991 with the Gerber Gator Folder and was the first knife to use the patented Gator Grip handle. As this handle gave the knife user fantastic control no matter what the weather conditions, it quickly became extremely popular with all outdoor enthusiasts.
The Gerber Gator uses advanced thermoplastics with an alligator skin texture over a Glass-filled core, all this combines to give a comfortable, reliable, rugged grip in wet or dry use.
Since its introduction the Gerber Gator remains as popular as ever, the product line has been expanded to include new Gerber Gator folders, fixed blade knives, Fillet knives, Axes and saws.
